Some ideas for visualizing knowledge
1. Basic ideas, building in layers, reaching toward -- what?
2. Ripples emanate from an initial stone's throw. New stones and ripples overlap the old.
3. As water changes terrain over time, so new ideas mold our understanding. Over time our habits wear pathways, grooves or ruts.
4. Rhizomes. Ideas that appear different on the surface may be linked in subterranean, unseen ways.
